The Saturday night concept LIVE! team from Dundalk FM will be launching their premier self run event on Sunday 5^th of July - Apartment 21a.

A full scale out door festival held in conjunction with the Marshes centre.

The live music line up will see the Fontanels, The Curtain Thieves, Beached Whales and Dundalk scene new comers Cilium take to the stage, along with break dancers and other surprises throughout the show.

The guys from the Saturday night LIVE! team have been broadcasting on Dundalk Fm since October last year. During their time on air the team have gotten to grips with everything from local musicians to local student politicians. Each show is a mix of competition give-aways, chin-wagging, new music and personal favourites.

Having worked with the regionally notorious highway 67 on events in the Spirit Store and other venues previously, the SNCL team wanted to try it for themselves.

Talking about what drives the team to keep creating new output Ken said;

“We’ve always had the intention of running live shows ourselves, but when we do things we want them to be full scale. Working with the H67 guys has been great since they’re of much the same mindset as us and like pushing the local scene to be better.

Since hosting the gigs with them we wanted to try and put on something major ourselves - to see how far we could take thing. We really want to give the Dundalk music scene and its youth audiences something to be proud of. This first live show is really just the beginning for a lot of ideas we have simmering.”

Tickets at €10 are available from all acts playing on the night, Dundalk FM and the Marshes.
