What’s happening this Easter at Marshes?

Marshes Bonny Baby Competition 2009
Bring your baby to Marshes between 2nd April and 23rd April and enter our Bonny Baby competition. The winner from each category (0-9mths / 9-18mths / 18-36mths) will win a Family or Single portrait plus €300 worth of Marshes shopping vouchers. Photographs will be published weekly in the Dundalk Democrat and readers are invited to vote for their favorite ‘Bonny Baby’. The closing date for voting is 8th May. An independent panel will judge the final selection. The competition is sponsored by the Dundalk Democrat and Digital Photo Graphics.

Easter Saturday 11th April
Saturday 11th April will be a real family fun day on the mall. Pat the Sorcerer, as seen on RTE, will perform a number of magic shows from 1pm through to 4pm. Face painters will also be present on the mall from 1-4pm. Marley the Monkey, Marshes mischievous mascot, will also be making an appearance. Marley will entertain children and is available for photographs.

Egg-Citing Mini Easter Egg Hunt!
This Easter Marshes has teamed up with Child Safe to offer a unique Easter Egg Hunt with a difference! As part of the international Child Safe programme, free wristbands are available at all times. On Saturday 11th April all children wearing a free Child Safe wristband will be able to follow our Easter trail around the centre, visiting participating shops, for free Mini Easter Eggs. Mum’s and Dad’s - this will give you a chance to browse the shops!

Parents are able to write their mobile phone number on the wristbands. Should they become separated from their child, anyone finding the youngster knows immediately who to call so that they can be quickly re-united. Marshes also has a unique Child Safe helpline number in all its shop windows. Anyone who has lost, found, or is worried about a child, simply rings this number and is connected directly to the CCTV security control room, from where help can immediately be given.

Centre Manager Harry Traynor says:
‘Family safety is very important to us here at Marshes. We hope the children will enjoy hunting for mini Easter treats, and Mum’s and Dad’s will appreciate our safe and found, Child Safe scheme! Easter at Marshes is sure to entertain all. Come along and have some fun this Easter!’
